A sanitation worker was struck and killed by a trash truck in a Delaware County community late Tuesday morning.
The 30-year-old employee of a subcontracted trash removal service was working along the 200 block of West Hinckley Avenue in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania, shortly before 11:45 a.m. Police said he was then struck by the truck he was working on and later pronounced dead.

SkyForce10 hovered over West Hinckley Avenue in Ridley Park around midday. The red trash truck didn't have any visible damage, however, crews appeared focused on something partially under the work vehicle.
Police have not yet revealed the victim's identity. They continue to investigate along with medical personnel and OSHA.
