The borough is auctioning off a 2002 Volvo Compactor garbage truck, a good fit for a waste disposal company, construction or landscaping business.
The Volvo chassis, Leach body, diesel engine truck runs and has 89,184 miles.
The online auction is open to the public at municibid.com and ends April 1.
All proceeds from the auction will be going right back into improving North Plainfield’s local community. These funds can be used for road maintenance, setting up local events for residents, community programs, public safety initiatives and more, according to borough officials.
